Meg O’Brien creates using free flowing expression of her subconscious emotion. It is only after the work is completed when she can gain a better understanding of what compelled and inspired her design. Her travels abroad are captured in photographs of nature and the physical world; evoking themes of the four basic elements and the changing seasons. Exploration in the use of texture and dimension in her paintings signify energy expansion and movement.
Earning her Bachelor of Arts in photography from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2004; was just the beginning of her journey which would lead to exhibiting in local art festivals. Most of her time is currently spent at her new studio, which is nicknamed “The Lab”. On display are illustrations, abstract paintings and fine art photography.
